That is if we can find any of the families, we are looking through all the medical records to see if there are any out of date information that might help to lead us to the first person. â€Å"Even basic communication skills such as phone courtesy and message taking can have an important influence on the organization’s success. Communication skills affect the performance of every employee, not just those in leadership roles Du Pre, A (2005). Everything is marketing from greeters to nurses† (P. 58). If communication is the problem, we will send out an email or text message making the face-to-face encounter less of a burden on the family. However, when it is impossible for anyone to be here we will make the notification over the telephone. This is not the ideal way for us, but if there is any question about what is happening it will be perceived in the tone of the voice. This will help us to help them if they have questions they are not sure about asking. And lastly we have skype, although surveys show the traditional phone call makes a bigger impact of who we are speaking with. Our last resort will be the printed newsletter, while it would be more cost effective to use the Internet for online letters.
